A Snapshot of Christians in Colonial America with Will Cornell
This is the final episode in our Snapshots in church history series. In this show we have our Pastor and friend Will Cornell on to teach us about the followers of Christ in the Colonies before the revolution. The atmosphere of early America was Christian in flavor, and it was embraced by the general public and even confessed in the various charters of the Colonies. The time leading up to the revolution had faithful Christians on opposite sides of the debate, with both quoting scripture and appealing to the stories of the Bible. Join us as we summarize the story God told in the great American experiment.

A Snapshot of the Church in Pre-Christian Rome
In this episode we continue our series of Snapshots in Church History. For this episode we are focusing on the era immediately following the time of the completion of the New Testament. Christianity didn't become popular in Roman society until the early 4th Century when Emperor Constantine rose to power. His conversion marks one of the major shifts in Church History. Before that, however, Christians found themselves in the throes of Pagan Rome. In this ep we attempt to paint the picture of what life was like for some of the very first followers of Jesus, and the hardships the church faced as the Christian faith spread. There's a surprising amount of cross over between then and now.

A Snapshot of Christianity in Nazi Germany
On today's episode of Shadowcast Radio we discuss what Christianity was like during the time of Nazi occupied Germany. In simple terms, there was good, and there was much bad. There was some faithfulness, but a lot of compromise. From the bold few like Bonhoeffer, to the multitudes of Christians singing hymns to drown out the noises of trains carrying Jews to concentration camps, the time of the rise of the Third Reich is a humble tale in Church history, and it's one we cannot ignore. History is doomed to repeat itself when we fail to learn from the past. Join us as we discuss the landscape of Christianity under one of the harshest regimes in world history, Hitler's Germany.
