"Judgement & Salvation" | Biblical Themes Part 4: Water
Welcome to part 4 in our theme study. In this episode we will be talking about water, and specifically how we see water used scripturally within the context of judgement and also within the context of salvation, which we call the water of life. Join us as we dive into the scriptures and learn about how God uses water to tell the story of the gospel.
"The Tree of Life" | Biblical Themes Part 3: Trees
Welcome to part 3 in our themes study. In this episode we discuss the theme of trees in the Bible. When trees appear in scripture, we're tempted to just see them as mere details in the story. Our argument, however, is that is most certainly not the case. Trees play important roles in the story of the Bible and play a significant role in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Join us as we dive into the Old and New Testaments and discuss the theology behind the imagery of trees.
"The Chaotic Wasteland" | Biblical Themes Part 2: Wilderness
This is the second part, but third episode, in our new themes study. In this episode we discuss the theme of wilderness in scripture. Throughout the Bible there are multiple stories where the author wants to depict spaces where human life does not flourish. These are the chaos spaces or "wilderness" places, which are adverse to the ordered world humanity needs in order to live. The great surprise of the theme is that in God's loving kindness He chooses to enter those spaces to rescue His people. During these moments in the stories we see the workings of the Gospel message being worked out before Jesus arrives on the scene to perform His grand Exodus as our new Moses.
"The Burning Man" | Biblical Themes Part 1: Fire

A Christian Case for Homeschooling with Special Guest Israel Wayne
For today's show we have special guest Israel Wayne on the podcast to discuss the topic of schooling from a Biblical perspective. To the surprise of many Christians in modernity, the Bible isn't neutral when it discusses education. Most succinctly put, Proverbs 22:6 says: "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." In this episode we want to make a Christian case for homeschooling. Our heart behind to episode is to lovingly challenge one other to think Biblically about this controversial matter, and to do it with patience and charity. Let us always be willing to reform our views so that they are in alignment with scripture.
